When God Says “It’s Time”: Jacob’s Step Into a New Season

There’s a moment in each of our lives when God whispers (or sometimes shouts): “Daughter, it’s time.”
Time to break free from what’s draining you. Time to leave behind what’s been keeping you small. Time to step into the life God promised.
That’s where we meet Jacob in Genesis 30:25–33. After years of working under Laban — being used, tricked, and undervalued — Jacob finally says he’s ready to go home. He doesn’t want to just survive anymore. He’s ready to walk into his purpose.
And here’s the beautiful truth: God didn’t wait until everything was perfect — He blessed Jacob right where he was.
Even in the chaos. Even in the dysfunction. Even when the people around him didn’t have his best interests at heart.

🌱 God’s Blessing Follows You
Jacob reminds us of this powerful truth:
“The Lord has blessed you wherever I have been.” — Genesis 30:30 (NIV)
Laban thought he was the source of Jacob’s success, but Jacob knew better. The blessing on your life doesn’t depend on a job title, a relationship, or whether someone else approves of you. God is your source.
You are not stuck because God is not stuck.
👣 When It’s Time to Move Forward
Jacob had spent years in a place that wasn’t his forever-home. And maybe you can relate.
Maybe you’re staying somewhere because it feels familiar… or because you don’t want to disappoint anyone… or because stepping out feels risky.
But sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is move toward the unknown with God.
If He’s nudging you into a new season — trust Him.
He’s not calling you out to leave you stranded. He’s calling you forward because there is more.
More purpose. More peace. More fruit.
🍍 Your Step of Faith Matters
Jacob didn’t see the whole path ahead — but he took the first step. And that’s what God is asking from us too.
Not a perfect plan. Not all the answers. Not a guarantee of comfort.
Just faith for the step in front of you.
So let me ask you:
✨ Where might God be saying, “It’s time”? ✨ What have you been clinging to because it feels safe? ✨ Which step — even a tiny one — would move you toward obedience?
Pray. Listen. And then… take the step.
🙏 A Prayer for Your New Season
Lord, thank You that Your blessing follows me wherever I go. Give me courage to move when You lead. Help me release what You didn’t intend to last forever. I trust Your provision, Your timing, and Your purpose. Amen.
💛 Be You, Bear Fruit
As a 522Gal, you are created to flourish — not settle. To follow Jesus — not fear change. To walk in God’s promises — not stay stuck in old spaces.
If God is calling you forward… girl, go.
I’m cheering you on,
Nicole 🍍
